In case you’re wondering what “doing the right thing” looks like in politics, check out this from Doug Jones

Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) — who pulled off a narrow win against ex-Alabama Judge Roy Moore in a special election last year — has asked the Federal Election Commission to look into reports on Democrats’ use of social media disinformation campaigns to help boost his election, The New York Times reported.

The Times has reported on at least two instances in which Democratic groups used fake social media accounts to help his campaign. Jones and his campaign reportedly did not know about the efforts at the time.

“Such deceptive tactics have no place in American politics and must be repudiated by those involved in our political system,” Jones wrote in a letter to the FEC, reviewed by the Times.
